Three years later .....

Completely loving this place, seeing the New York skyline every day fills me with gladness. I want my ashes scattered in Central Park someday. More than 3 years now since we settled here & many visitors from Aus have joined in our lives for a while and taken home happy memories (I hope) of US adventures. This year I will get citizenship & be able to vote for Bernie Sanders (or Hilary Clinton) in November.

Being creative repurposing old furniture, making books, incorporating weird things into collages, painting, exploring, being inspired by galleries, people, places, snow & wonderful things. Let us know if New York is in your future & we'd love to see you!

The Online Hideout moved offshore

In fact the Online Hideout website is now defunct since we moved to New York from Australia. It was a great learning experience and for the many years we were online many wonderful people made contact. Thank you to our many loyal followers. Visiting Guttenberg

Won't be long and we'll be calling it home - the inherited family home built in 1860 in Guttenberg NJ. 15 minutes from Times Square, a short bus ride through the Lincoln tunnel to Victoria's Secret, Macys, Saks and a million other great shopping places. First step - major renovations to turn it into the most fabulous house this side of the Hudson, a bohemian refuge for all the artistic people in our lives, with welcoming room for any family and friends (and friends of) as an alternative to expensive NY hotels.
Stay tuned for updates on the development of a dream! Thinking an Absinthe Ritual set up would suit some space there!
